Meghan Markle Left Behind This Her Priced Possession Because Prince Harry's Cottage Is Too Tiny

American actress Meghan Markle abandoned one of her beloved rescue dogs when she moved to the U.K. to join her fiancé Prince Harry. Kensington Palace reports that Markle left one of her dogs to live permanently with friends in Toronto, Canada.

Meghan didn’t bring both dogs with her because Prince Harry’s meager accommodations — the 1,300 sq ft Nottingham Cottage on the grounds of London’s Kensington Palace — is just too cramped for 2 adults and two dogs.

Prince Harry moved into the tiny 2 bedroom cottage after his brother, Prince William, and sister-in-law, Kate Middleton, moved out of it and into more spacious digs in Kensington Palace.
It’s believed the 36-year-old actress took her beagle, named Guy, with her to the U.K., while Bogart, a Labrador-shepherd mix, was given a new home.

The ‘Suits’ star featured her two rescue dogs prominently in photos on her Instagram account. It was clear which pampered pooch was Meghan’s favorite even before she moved to England for good.

A spokesperson for the royal residence tells, “(The) other dog is going to permanently reside in North America with friends of hers. This is a permanent decision that Meghan made on her own — not an easy one at that.”

The Kensington Palace representative adds, “It takes a toll on an animal to travel so far across [the] Atlantic, combined with the hard, long process of getting approval (from government authorities). It’s in the best interest of the animal’s well being to stay.”
