Kate Hudson Wants You To Know How Hard She Works To Preserve Her Youth

Actress Kate Hudson says getting older sucks. At an age when some Hollywood actresses visit the fertility doctor to get pregnant, Hudson just wants to retain her cheerleader looks.

In an interview with British newspaper The Times, the 38-year-old actress discussed her depressing outlook on old age.
“Aging sucks. It’s like a double-edged sword, because you accept that your body starts to change and gravity takes over and, as that’s happening, you gain a sense of wisdom and get more comfortable with who you are,” she said.

The ‘How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days’ actress admits she works hard to preserve her youth with skin peels, laser treatments, and anti-aging beauty products.
“I’m all for the creams and the lasers and longevity. I’m not going to lie: I’m one of those women who, if there’s a filter, I’m using it. If someone said when would you have liked to have stopped aging, it would have been about 29.”

Hudson, who gets her beauty from her mother, actress Goldie Hawn, says she hopes to encourage other women who also worry about their youth.
“You can use all the creams in the world but, I’m telling you, the best thing for aging is being active and healthy, so I want to reach out to women about body positivity,” she says.
WENN.com notes that, while Hudson didn’t mention peer pressure in Hollywood, it’s a known fact that male actors get more parts than females.

Older female stars such as Halle Berry (50), left, and Jodie Foster (54), right, barely get movie roles, thanks to their Oscar hardware.
“Life is short and insignificant and that’s a scary thing to think about,” Hudson said.

“When we talk about the things that are challenging, it always boils down to the fact we don’t have that much time. But it’s irresponsible for me to talk about struggles – I feel like a very lucky person.”
