Pics: Brussels Airport Bombers Seen On Surveillance Footage Before Explosions As 34 People Are Reported Dead And Others Wounded

Brussels suspects

A screenshot taken from surveillance footage inside the Brussels airport shows suspected terrorists pushing luggage carts through the departure area before 2 loud explosions rocked the airport. 2 of the unidentified suspects wore suicide belts, black clothing, and each wore one black glove.

The bombs they wore and concealed inside their luggage exploded near Starubucks and counter 8, killing at least 14 people around 8 a.m. Tuesday.

Brussels attacks

An hour later, 2 more bombs exploded at subway stations in Brussels, killing at least 20 people and injuring dozens in the Belgian Capital. At least one of the bombers was killed in an explosion.
The terrorists reportedly shouted “allahu akbar” (God is great) prior to the explosions. Fox News reports ISIS is claiming responsibility for the Brussels attacks.

The Brussels attacks are believed to be revenge for the arrest of Salah Abdeslam, a suspect in the Nov. 13 Paris attacks that left 130 dead (pictured inset).

Abdeslam was taken into custody on Friday following a police raid on an apartment just yards away from his family home in Brussels. The Belgian native was shot in the left foot during a brief shootout with police.
Police believe a network of terrorists kept Abdeslam hidden for months while more attacks were being planned by experienced jihadis who slipped into Europe along with the surge of refugees from Syria.

The Belgian Capital is on lock down and commercial planes are being diverted to other Belgian cities.

According to the NY Post a Brussels police spokesman is reporting deaths at the Maelbeek police station near European Union headquarters.

The attacks in Brussels occurred despite the heavy presence of police and army soldiers guarding train stations and the city’s main tourist attractions since Sunday.
“What we feared has happened,” said Belgium Prime Minister Charles Michel at a press conference in Brussels on Tuesday.

“Terrorists struck Brussels but it was Europe that was targeted,” said French President François Hollande.
The death toll is expected to rise throughout the day.
