For the third time in the past year, Prince Philip has been hospitalized after a health scare.
Buckingham Palace confirmed today that the 91-year-old royal husband of Queen Elizabeth II was taken to the Aberdeen Royal Infirmary in Scotland as "a precautionary measure," though did not disclose any details of his condition or what led to his admittance to the hospital. He was brought to the facility during a stay with the queen at Balmoral.
The Duke of Edinburgh was hospitalized back in June at the height of the queen's Diamond Jubilee celebrations for a bladder infection, and was released after a five-day stay with a clean bill of health. He was also treated in a hospital last Christmas, where he spent four days in care while undergoing emergency surgery after suffering chest pains.
In any case, the health scares haven't slowed down the nonagenarian too much, as earlier this month he joined his parachuting monarch of a wife at the opening ceremony of the 2012 London Olympics.
Get well soon, Prince Philip!
