Did Kris Jenner broker deal for her daughter Kim Kardashian's sex tape?

Kim Kardashian was catapulted to stardom following the release of her sex tape with rapper Ray J in 2007. And now reports have emerged that it was allegedly her mother Kris Jenner saw to it that her daughter would cash in on it. A source has claimed that the ‘momager’, 56, helped to set up the sale of the video which led to 31-year-old Kim’s fame.

The insider allegedly claimed: ‘Kris was totally involved in arranging the sale of Kim's tape. ‘The video already existed, and Kris was there every step of the way as a middleman brought in to market it to an adult entertainment company.’ The source also alleged that Kris was delighted when she found out the sex tape, released by adult company Vivid Entertainment, was titled Kim Kardashian, Superstar.

The insider claimed: ‘That must have thrilled Kris since you could hardly call Kim a household name at that point in time.’ And they added that Kris allegedly received a hefty pay out for the sale of the X-rated video. The source claimed: ‘I saw Kris Jenner's signature on the contract; I believe she got somewhere between $250,000 and $500,000 for the original deal with the middleman.’

Kim had filmed the sex tape three years earlier when she was 23, and Keeping Up With The Kardashians premiered eight months after its release. And the source alleged to the publication that it was all part of the plan for Kris. They claimed: ‘Everything she does in this world, every decision she makes on her daughters' behalf, is based on greed and publicity. And has nothing to do with her family's stability or happiness.’

Back in June reports emerged that Kris had allegedly instructed Kim to make the video even had her re-shoot it because the first take wasn't 'pretty enough'. Kim’s younger sister Khloe was infuriated by the claims and said: 'That is just disgusting and disturbing, and probably HIS fantasy!'
A spokesperson for Kim Kardashian did not immediately respond to requests for comment on the allegations.
