Life-threatening: Blake Fiedler-Civil is said to be
fighting for his life
Miss Aspin said they the couple discussed getting married just last week - but he later staggered home after a drinking session with a friend. She called paramedics, who said Fielder-Civil had swallowed his tongue, choked on his vomit and his left lung was not working. Miss Aspin said: ‘They let me in to hold his hand after 45 minutes. I found out later that they did that because they thought he was going to die.’ Fielder-Civil’s friend, Yeya Jáuregui, said yesterday that he was still in a coma and urged his fans to ‘keep on praying’.
She said on Twitter: ‘Honestly, I haven’t read news about this but I have Blake on Facebook and all of his friends are concerned about him.’ Fielder-Civil, who has battled a heroin addiction for years, was jailed in 2008 for assault - and again last year for burglary and imitation firearm possession.
Fighting for his life: Amy Winehouse's ex-husband Blake
Fielder-Civil is reportedly seriously ill after an alleged booze and alcohol
binge
Winehouse, who also struggled with addiction, was found dead in July 2011 at her home in Camden, north London, at the age of just 27.
Hospital dash: He was reportedly rushed to a medical
facility after he was found choking and suffered multi-organ failure
The singer’s death was the result of drinking
too much alcohol, a coroner said, and she was more than five times the
drink-drive limit. Winehouse met Fielder-Civil in a pub in 2005
and they married in Miami in 2007 just a month after becoming engaged, but
divorced two years later. Last year his mother Georgette Fielder-Civil
admitted she was fearful for his health. Nobody was available for comment last night at
West Yorkshire Police or at Dewsbury and District Hospital.
